How to Recover a lost village, detailed with pictures

1- Introduction:

For some Clashers, nothing is worse than losing their villages.
To be specific, it’s called losing access to the village not losing the village itself. Villages are on the internet/server (don’t know the exact name), but files that allows you to access your village are on your device. So, don’t worry, your village is not deleted.

2- Prevention is better than cure:

Don’t wait until you lose access to your village. Make sure that your village is linked/connected to a Google+ account for Android, Gamecenter account for iOS or both if you play on the two platforms:

For Android:

For iOS:

3- Lost your village already?:

I understand how it feels to lose your village as it happened to my friend. What I guarantee is that Clash of Clans in-game-support will help you if you give them the correct information about the lost village.

Now, If you haven’t already, you need to create a new village (REOMMENDED) and make sure this time it’s linked to a google+/gamecenter (your old village will be linked to this google+ or gamecenter instead of the new village later).

After that, you need to contact the in-game-support and give them information about your lost village and to do that, follow the instructions:

1- Open Clash of Clans:
2- Tap the in-game-settings icon:
3- Tap Help and Support:
4- Tap Contact Us:
5- Type your message, name and e-mail (Optional):

In the message, you should include the following about your lost village:
1- The exact name of the village.
2- The exact name of the clan the village was in (If it was in a clan).
3- (Not included in the official FAQ/Helpshift but I think it can help)
The clan tag which can be found like that:
4- The exact Town Hall level of the village.
5- The exact XP level of the village (The number in the blue star in the top left).
6- (Not included in the official FAQ/Helpshift but I think it can help)
The unique player tag of the lost village which can be found under the player name in player profile:
And after that send the message.

Here is an example of a message:

Hi,
I have lost my village and I can’t recover it because it was not linked to a google+/gamecenter (according to your case).
I need your help to recover it and this is its information:
Name:………….
Town Hall level:………….
XP level:………….
Player Tag:……….
Name of the Clan:………
Clan Tag:……….
Thanks.

Once you send that, all you can do is just waiting for the reply.
If everything is okay, they will require from you some more information like:

-What device or devices you used to play your village?

-When and How you lost your village?

-If you have ever bought gems on your lost account you will need to send a picture of the receipt of the first gem purchase (the most important). (If have never bought gems, skip this)

-When (Month and Year) and Where ( City and Country) in which you have created you village.

(If you don’t know the exact month or year, try remembering things like: birthdays, new iPad or phone, travel, Christmas, Halloween. And try guessing the closest month and year.

-Now, back to the receipt of the first gem purchase.

How to get it? Easy!:
If you purchased your first gems on Android:
1- Go to: Payments.google.com
2- Sign in with the google account with which you bought gems.
3- Find the purchase and click. It will be something like:
Supercell - Pile/Bag/Sack/Box/Chest of Gems
If you have more than one gem purchase, make sure to click the one with the earliest date or time:
4- Take a screenshot(s) of the whole page and include everything.
5- Attach the picture or picture of the receipt:

If you purchased your first gems on iOS:
A detailed guide on how to find your purchase history for iTunes can be found on this site:

-Make sure to sign in to the Apple id account on which you purchased your gems.

-The receipt should be something like this:

You can attach the picture of your receipt using the camera button:

They may not request all this, only some of it.
They may also request more information.
So, don’t follow this guide without reading their messages.

4- Final Step:

After sending all the additional information, you should wait.
If everything was okay and correct and they have confirmed that you are the owner of the village, the will send you a message which includes a code which has your village linked to it.
To load your village:
1- Tap the in-game-settings icon.
2- Tap: link a device.
3- Tap the second option which is: this is the new device
4- Enter the code.
5- Tap Okay
Congratulations!!!

-Didn’t receive the code?
They will tell you what of the information was incorrect and ask you for the correction.

-This code overwrites the village in which you will enter the code and your old village will take the place of the new village. Just make sure you don’t enter the code in another village you need.
